Visitor Directions

Usk is situated in rural Monmouthshire, less than 10 miles from the M4.

Usk Showground is located on the B4235 Chepstow Road, 2 miles outside of Usk town. 

By Train: Please visit the National Rail website to book your train tickets. Nearest stations are Newport or Abergavenny.

By Bus: There are regular bus services to Usk from Chepstow, Cwmbran, Newport, Monmouth and Raglan. Travellers from outside the area should arrive at one of these destinations and pick up local services from there.

A FREE Shuttle Bus service operates from Twyn Square, Usk to the Showground on Show Day.

By Car:

Please use the FREE Park & Ride stations where possible.  These are situated on the A472 near Usk College,  on the B4598 at near Llancayo Windmill and on the A472 near Llangybi.  All 9 buses will be running to and from the showground all day (last bus leaves the showground at 7pm) and all will be calling at Twyn Square, Usk for those of you who would like to leave your car at home.

YOU WILL AVOID QUEUES & GET THERE MUCH QUICKER!

FROM USK TOWN

Follow the A472 through Usk.  Take the left hand slip road near Usk Primary School and follow the yellow signs along the Monmouth Road for USK SHOW – or better still leave you car at home & pick up the FREE shuttle bus from Twyn Square.

FROM CHEPSTOW

At the Chepstow Roundabout take the A466 for Monmouth for about a mile. Turn left onto the B4235 for Shirenewton (at the Spar Supermarket). Continue on B4235 to Gwernesney and follow the FREE PARKING SIGNS

FROM ABERGAVENNY

At the “Hardwick” Roundabout of the A40, take the B4598 signposted towards Usk.  In roughly 3 miles, turn right at the old Steel Horse Café to stay on B4598.  Follow this road & the signs to the FREE Park & Ride service at Llancayo

FROM MONMOUTH

Exit the A40 at Raglan,  and follow the signs for USK SHOW 

FROM M4

Exit at Junction 24 and follow the directions from Newport above

FROM M5 (NORTH)

Exit at Junction 8a, then take the M50 motorway to its end at Ross-on-Wye. Follow the A40/A449 signposted to Monmouth and Newport. (Note: A40 changes to A449 at Raglan) Follow the directions from the A449 above

FROM M5 (SOUTH)

Exit at Junction 18, then stream left onto the M49. The M49 joins the M4 at the Second Severn crossing –follow the signs for South Wales. Exit the M4 at Junction 24, then take the A449 signposted to Monmouth. Follow the directions from the A449 above
