South Wales Rabbit Club.
The South Wales Rabbit Club was established in the early 1970's, when it began life as the South Wales Rabbit & Cavy Club. The show was originally based in Risca, where the Cavy section still shows today. Since then it has moved to Newport, but is now based in the sleepy village of Castleton. The SWRC hold four shows a year; two at Agricultural shows for Usk and Chepstow, and two in the Castleton Institute, Castleton, Newport Co.
The aim of the club is to promote the Rabbit Fancy in South Wales, and encourage and promote further the interests of all British rabbit breeders. The club also aims to assist and advise on the breeding and exhibition of stock, as well promote good practices within pet rabbit keeping. We have many experienced and knowledgeable members that are only too pleased to discuss any issues our exhibitors or the general public may have regarding the keeping, breeding or exhibiting rabbits. We are always here to help!
